Cement Construction - Glue on construction for light weight and flexibility but soles cannot be replaced. The method of lasting a shoe that provides 5/8 of an inch of the leather upper to be cemented to the bottom of the insole for shaping the shoe and holding the shoe in form before the outsole is cemented to the bottom of the insole.

Dri-Lex Lining – This is a lining material that we use on our boots that has a high abrasion rating and a very high wicking ability to keep the foot dry and comfortable.  Dri Lex has been approved by the American Podiatric Society for use in footwear.  This indicates that it is a very good lining material.

Flex Spine Support – This is the Patent Pending heel to toe flexible plastic base that alleviates underfoot pressure from absorbing into the foot, thereby providing protection and all day comfort.

Footbed – The insole of the shoe where the foot rests

Opanka Construction - The method of lasting a shoe where the upper is stitched to the outsole. This construction aids in better flexibility. The Opanka construction is our unique construction that hand sews the upper, the sock lining, and outsole together in a single process. Not only does this make our shoes extremely flexible and comfortable, but it also creates a cushioning effect. As a result, the under foot will then conform and rebound with foot movement; constantly surrounding the foot with comfort.  The Opanka construction combined with our superior craftsmanship, quality and style makes a perfect combination.

Direct Attach Construction - The newer direct-attach method fuses the sole to the fibers of the upper to produce a tough, watertight bond. Direct attachment is supposed to subtract weight and add flexibility without compromising durability, but the boots generally can't be resoled. 

Goodyear Welt Construction - long wear and durability is foremost when using Goodyear Welt construction. The upper is drawn over the last and held temporarily while a strip of leather (the Welt) is stitched to the upper and inner sole. Then the sole is hind-stitched through the Welt to complete the process. This construction allows multiple sole replacements, extending the life of the footwear.

Removable Polyurethane Footbed – The inside comfort footbed that is easily removable for cleaning or replacement. Polyurethane footbeds are the very best for absorbing shock and retaining memory for longer lasting comfort and durability.
